That same priest, when he found out the Pope (not Francis) had said this was potential proof of God, gave the Pope a good scolding--see, it's still just a theory. Suppose it turns out to be wrong? Then is God DISPROVEN? He was most irate with the Pope, and the Pope withdrew his comment.

You can be very religious and still a good scientist--but you have to know which is which. Two separate realms.

Another Catholic priest calculated the Earth was only 6000 years old...totally inconsistent with the big bang theory and modern cosmology.
