It started when she told me she was looking for a bigger apartment. I told her she should consider buying a house. She then said they always ask for social security number and proof of employment and she has none.

I shockingly said, "You don't have a social security number?" Then she said the owner has been paying her cash so therefore no checking stubs exist. No wonder she has been at this dead end job for 15 years -- she has very limited options.

But really, should I leave this alone or report this? It's kind of not fair to me that she gets tax-free cash.

If you can't get her deported at least blackmail her or pimp her out.

Send your boss an email (so you have documented evidence) letting he/she know that you're in on his/her illegal activity and that you will report the co-worker if he/she doesn't do the right thing. Then, if you get fired, you can sue until your boss is bankrupt.

And the United States will be a better place for it.
