Throughout history, our interests and Israelis' interested in the Middle East have heavily conflicted. Netanyahu said basically that the US is a force that he can manipulate and move at his will.

And I think a lot of American citizens view those conflicts as the US fighting Israel's wars. I disagree with that bit, since I believe we need to get involved in order to prevent Israel from starting WWIII, which I dont doubt that they are perfectly willing to do to 'save' their land.

As for Israel being prepared to "start WWIII to save our land", I assume you speak of nukes, correct? I fail to see how Israel protecting itself from Arab and Persian annihilation will start a global conflict. I highly doubt there are many developed nations who support Islamic genocide of the Jewish people or an attack on the nation of Israel. As such, none will flock to their aid when Israel strikes back furiously and decisively.
