COLOGNE WOMEN APOLOGIZE TO RAPIST MIGRANTS.
1 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 14:41
Once again Europe is showing its moral, social and cultural superiority to the rest of the world, while the Americas remain the centre of violence and murders the most dangerous region in the entire world, with the USA in particular being a cesspit for hate and discrimination, yet they want us to regress back to their level. No thanks.
Women in Cologne have responded to the mass molestation by predominantly Muslim migrants that occurred on New Year’s Eve by visiting the city’s largest refugee center and handing out roses as a “gesture against xenophobia”.
A German television news report shows the women giving the flowers to migrants, many of whom are young men and may have even been involved in the sexual molestation of hundreds of women on December 31st.

If you seriously believe that Stan you have my deepest sympathies....

Outside of Europe The Japanese and Canadians are alright too, as for the rest of the world.

The Japanese
Hmm, interesting and ironic that you laud the otherwise immigration-phobic, mono-cultural Japanese in high regard.....
Regardless, in your humble opinion are there any conceivable negative consequences of importing large numbers of predominantly young men hailing from culturally/socially/religiously backward regions to countries with substantially different (I.e. superior) cultural values and social expectations/standards?
If so, please list them.

Part of being culturally and morally superior is we can have compassion for those far less fortunate than ourselves, we can offer them a better way of live, those that reject that better way of life, we will not punish the group, we will punish the individual, even in the face of the naysayers. And there's not a god damn thing you can do to stop it.

Anon, you'd better shave off that muslimist beard and dig out your kevlar flak jacket.

"Part of being culturally and morally superior is we can have compassion for those far less fortunate than ourselves, we can offer them a better way of live"
at the expense of completely destroying your own nation,as you open the floodgates for the 3rd world parasites.
nice job cuck... :P
we will not punish the group, we will punish the individual, even in the face of the naysayers.
Oh you mean kind like how you punished all gun owners with your gun control, just because of few nuts?
Kind like that you leftist hypocrite?
And there's not a god damn thing you can do to stop it.
Lol delusion...
With any luck once the German people have finally had enough, they will run the invader parasites off themselves with shovels and pitchforks.
and hopefully they will have sense enough to send collectivist trash like you and Merkel packing with them

Anon, I agree.
ANY generalisation - about Americans, Brits, Europe, Muslims, Libs, Cons etc is just juvenile.

Thank God I'm not a bleeding heart, collectivist, useful idiot, and traitor to my country like you libtard :P
I'll all but guarantee that Stan is extremely young, white, middle-class, under-employed and lives safely ensconced in "hideously white" suburbia.
It is, after all essentialy a prerequisite of those gushing unwaveringly about near-unbridled immigration from sh^t parts of the world whilst vehemently dismissing the inevitable consequences of such ruinous attitudes and policies...
11 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 17:41
Part of being culturally and morally superior is we can have compassion for those far less fortunate than ourselves
Hmm, yet by your own words you regard "Conservatives" as mentally inferior and/or delinquent by default yet you evidently don't extend the same immodestly claimed (yet unproven) "compassion" you purportedly extend to others. Indeed, if we are to take your damning views on "Conservatives" as accurate then surely they also qualify as "less fortunate" than enlightened souls as yourself?
we can offer them a better way of live, those that reject that better way of life, we will not punish the group, we will punish the individual, even in the face of the naysayers.
Well cultural/social rejection by immigrants is infinetly variable and thus usually difficult to quantify. You're also optimistically assuming that the vast majority of mostly young, unskilled Muslim men plucked straight out of religiously devout, culturally/socially backward regions will assimilate or want to assimilate.
The omens really aren't good on that score though considering that their religiously affiliated brethren already living here tend to burn through the vast majority of our strained security service's budgets on their own....
And there's not a god damn thing you can do to stop it.
Actually, on a personal level I can and indeed, to degree, did. I used to live in that multicultural, bejewelled Babylonian utopia of Western Europe, er, London (tolerant Lewisham to be precise) and moved back to the "hideously white" semi-rural suburbs some years later.
It's not the most affluent of areas but at least crime is far lower - particularly violent crime and I can even talk to my neighbours in the same language! Even better I actually have things in common with them and they don't regard it as suspicious that I strike up a conversation with them in the first place either. Such luxuries. By the time my neighbourhood turns to sh^t I'll be long dead, mercifully.
Regardless, I'll wager you live nowhere near the people you boast about championing Stan. Your ilk almost never do. No coincidence of course as rapid multicultural upheaval is always at its most progressively glorious......when viewed from a 'safe' distance.
12 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 17:55
anon, I live in 'tolerant' Lewisham RIGHT NOW, and it's not exactly riddled with violent crime. It's not one of those 'no-go areas' patrolled by Muslim death squads I read about in the Daily Fail.
People buy and take drugs, sure, but everybody I know enjoys its 'tolerant' atmosphere. You have the Pork shop next to the Halal butcher, and they'll both laugh and joke with each other. Sure, some of the accents are fairly challenging - but not impossible if you are 'tolerant', i.e. reasonably intelligent and open-minded.
Was it the skin colour that made understanding your former neighbours so difficult?

Probably, its pretty obvious from his tone what he is! I bet he's been to London once in his life, saw some brown people, and got the first train back to the hellhole where he came from!
14 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 18:18
I grew up in East London in a very multi-cultural area (Leyton), and have lived in London most my life, and actually if you knew anything about London, you'd know that far right votes for UKIP barely registered here, it was in the little Ingerlander white poor towns like Clacton where they did best, so you've got it completely back to front! All the Londoners I know, both those who have grown up here and those who have moved here for work don't care about multiculturalism, they just accept it like they accept the sky is blue. Like my home town boy David Beckham.
15 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 18:53
Come on anon, 'let the dog see the rabbit' as they say, what in your opinion are the potential and/or actual negative aspects and consequences of mass near-unfettered immigration to Britain?
You must surely be able to come up with a few and I expect no less from someone who optimistically brags by insinuation that they possess superior intelligence to a substantial number of people in society....
16 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 19:06
We've had immigration for years, its not overnight that London has become multicultural, its been like this since the 80s when I was growing up. And yet London is one of the most successful cities in the world. And have you been to hospital lately? Have you seen where most the staff and in particular doctors come from? The NHS would have come down to its knees years ago if it wasn't for immigration.
17 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 19:21
We've had immigration for years, its not overnight that London has become multicultural, its been like this since the 80s when I was growing up.
80's? You sound considerably younger. You may take that as a compliment if you wish.
Regardless, immigration has indeed occurred consistently (yet sustainably) for centuries, but what perhaps is "overnight" (figuratively speaking) though is absorbing substantial amounts of migrants over a relatively short period. No country in the world can honestly boast about letting massive amounts of (often culturally backward) people in and predominantly benefiting from doing so, least of all the likes of Sweden who's burgeoning welfare bill is rapidly becoming unsustainable.
And yet London is one of the most successful cities in the world.
Well London is increasingly becoming foreign owned and hideously expensive - undeniable issues that even Labour supporters gripe about - when they can blame the Tories for it of course. Hell, you know it's bad when even shitholes like Brixton are becoming increasingly under threat from gentrification (again)! Too many people, not enough space.
And have you been to hospital lately? Have you seen where most the staff and in particular doctors come from? The NHS would have come down to its knees years ago if it wasn't for immigration.
Is anyone here actually advocating a complete cessation of all I mmigration though? I doubt anyone reasonable would reject the highly-skilled, contributing and civilised from migrating/working here.
Indeed, it's laughably disingenous to equate large swathes of culturally backward, low/no skilled people hailing from some of the most violent regions of the world with otherwise assimilating, law abiding, contributing professionals in far fewer numbers. False equivalence on your part.
All that aside, you still haven't answered my question: What are the negative aspects to the host nation of mass, largely unfettered immigration? You keep telling me the supposed positives (all of which have been highly specious on numerous counts) but no negatives....surely one cannot exist without the other?!
18 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 19:50
Well London is increasingly becoming foreign owned and hideously expensive
I know, it's great isn't it, I bought a flat in Leyton fairly cheapish (for London) after I left university which I rent out now, it's fucking amazing how much its gone up in value, I'm going to be a millionaire soon if it carries on at this rate!
In all seriousness though, for people who aren't on the property ladder and those who haven't got social housing but working hard in low paid jobs, it is ridiculous the house prices, that's why they need to build more houses.
Anyway, the Muslims have been here for years, most the immigration in the last 10-15 years has been from East Europe.
If you're looking for someone to play your game and start criticising people who are just looking for a better way of life, then you've found the wrong man.
19 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 20:02
.......And whilst we're on this contentious topic a follow up question for you to likely avoid answering:
Considering the not insubstantial socio-cultural 'friction' between Islamic communities living in the West with the prevailing values, standards and expectations of their hosts, do you believe that said friction will increase of diminish as the Muslim population rises?
In other words and to put it simply: Does a rapidly increasing Islamic population in the West = less or more trouble for the host population than manifests currently?
If "diminish" (or indeed "less") please elucidate via legitimate reasoning as to why you believe this.
I have every (misplaced) confidence that your response/s will be both on-topic and peerlessly enlightening....
Probably.
20 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 20:14
As you may know, where I grew up (Leyton) has a higher than average Muslim population, as well as a growing amount of people from East Europe. And no, I've never accounted any problems, most the people who are Muslims and people who looked Muslim-ey were very friendly, when you hold a doors for them in shops they often say "thank you brother" which is a nice touch, I had many muslim friends at school (still know a couple of them) and when I went to their houses to play computer games they were always very friendly and hospitable, made food, asked me how I was, yeah the stereotype is largely true that their houses have a curry odour, but so what?
Anyway you can rally against it all you like on internet forums, but there's not a god damn thing you can do about it.
21 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 20:54
Considering the not insubstantial socio-cultural 'friction' between Islamic communities living in the West with the prevailing values, standards and expectations of their hosts, do you believe that said friction will increase of diminish as the Muslim population rises?
What are you talking about?
You've heard both anon and myself stating quite clearly there is NO "substantial socio-cultural friction" in these Muslim-controlled no-go-zones- for-decent-whites where we are unfortunate enough to live.
Does a rapidly increasing Islamic population in the West = less or more trouble for the host population than manifests currently?
Does a rapidly increasing Jewish population in 30's Germany = more or less trouble for Germans?
Their solution was to ship them out, kill them or turn them into slaves for their industries - or all three options.
Of course it will create problems, but mainly for the Alf Garnett types who cannot adjust to change.
But it will also provide enormous advantages. Who runs the corner shops, the pound shops, the market stalls, the minicabs, the building forces, as well as the NHS? Our economy would collapse. AND our communities would be impoverished by a lack of diversity.
Maybe you are all right jack in your gated community that keeps out muslims - a muslim no-go-zone! But we will benefit from immigration like we always have.
Do you remember the terror of the Jewish razor gangs in the east end?

>>21Great post.
This guy chopper is obviously a little ingerlander who I doubt has ever been to London more than a handful of times in his life.
But who needs to hear from the people who actually live here, when you pick up the Daily Mail and read their frivolous, thinly veiled racist claims.

Forgive me for believing you're talking total sh^t on that score Buster (and indeed generally). Incidentally, of all the intellectually-redundant, painfully middle-class leftwing hacks I've encountered online not one to my knowledge ever admitted to living in anywhere other than low-aspirational, high crime multicultural areas....yet that's paradoxically in sharp contrast to the one's I've encountered in person though ironically.
It's almost as if then it's easier to hide one's inevitable socio-economic privilege (and thus ignorance of reality) online than it is in real life. I doubt anybody's noticed that though....
I'll wager you and Stan live very firmly in white, middle-class suburbia. Deny it all you want.
Does a rapidly increasing Jewish population in 30's Germany = more or less trouble for Germans?
Deflection by answering a question with a question. How original. Answer my question first and I'll answer yours.
Of course it will create problems, but mainly for the Alf Garnett types who cannot adjust to change.
So to clarify only the respective readerships of The Sun and The Daily Mail will effectively endure culturally-infused problems (which implies that such problems are predominately their fault of course which is rather quaint) whilst everyone else will be ok. Were all those raped children in Rotherham and elsewhere "Alf Garnett" types I wonder? Hmm.
But it will also provide enormous advantages. Who runs the corner shops, the pound shops, the market stalls, the minicabs, the building forces, as well as the NHS?
Again, you're disigenously lumping all 'immigrants' together when there are clear and profound differences often depending on cultural origins, religious affiliations et al as you well know. I don't oppose immigration as a concept.
AND our communities would be impoverished by a lack of diversity.
Really? 'Turn off the tap' and the country becomes "hideously white" again does it?!
Maybe you are all right jack in your gated community
If only. I suspect that's more you and Stan actually Buster.
But we will benefit from immigration like we always have.
As before you're shamefully obscuring the more problematic groups of immigrants with the rest. I was reffering to Islamic immigration as well you know. Again, the raped children of Rotherham (and Oxford, and Liverpool, and Rochdale, etc, etc, etc) surely agree with you though Buster...
Do you remember the terror of the Jewish razor gangs in the east end?
As I wasn't personally around in that particular period (and you clearly weren't considering you were born yesterday), no. Yet again, false equivalence.
You are fuckwitted (though admittedly Stan's giving you a run for your money) and you have my undeservedly generous sympathies as a consequence.
24 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 21:22
I'll wager you and anon live very firmly in white, middle-class suburbia though. Deny it all you want.
Damn, you outed us! Yes, we're both safely ensconced in the Surrey Stockbroker belt, and lying about our left-wing credentials for reasons we don't fully understand. And yes, we eat prawn sandwiches and have Mexican housekeepers.
Well, Alf, I'm afraid I have to leave you now, I'm going to my Citizen Smith appreciation society (all white and middle class of course).
You presumably have your reruns of Till Death us do part and recordings of the Rivers of Blood speech, and dream on for the day when Britain can be great again, i.e. without the muslimist plague.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 21:37
Having now unenviably accustomed myself to both yours and anon's (for you are very much two cheeks of the same arse of course) quaintly dogmatic musings - and taking into account your persistently disingenuous penchant for lumping all migrants together as a single cohesive entity (to obscure all the bad ones of course), I soberingly predict the following scenario:
The next large scale terrorist attack that occurs in Britain will have you, before the terrorists are identified, stubbornly declaring that the perpetrators are no less likely to be disaffected Hindu's, narked Sikhs, the largely spectral "far right", cheesed off UKIP'ers, militant tiddlywinks enthusiasts called Gerald et al, than they are Muslim....
Tragically there is no cure for your debilitating fuckwittery. You're too indoctrinated. Like that famed philosopher, existentialist and mohican enthusiast of the 80's, Mr T once pithily exclaimed: "I pity the fool"....
As do I.

Sorry to be pedantic but Mr T never uttered that phrase. It was the title of a great 1961 song by Bobby Bland.
okay, okay, you've won. Yes, I am indoctrinated, and cannot see that all of the ills of the world come out of islamia.
Yes, you're right - shoot first, pass judgement later.
Are YOU one of those cheesed-off UKIPers?
29 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-28 15:05
London has been multicultural for well over 50 years with muslims, blacks, jews, hindus, whites and you name it getting along relatively well. It IS multicultural, and it will remain multicultural for many more years to come and it still remains one of the most successful and vibrant cities in the entire world.
You can rally against it all you like, you can call everyone who embraces it crazy, but meanwhile we who see the opportunities it brings will reap the benefits, while you will be stuck in your little ingerlander white poor suburb forever feeling angry at the world, because ultimately, you just don't like brown faces. You reap what you sow.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-28 16:23
>>23Absolute rubbish, my mum was an immigrant from Ireland and got into nursing when she came over here and my dad was in the armed forces before I was born and did low paid jobs after that, they were both however strict with me compared to some of my friends when it came to doing well at school (which I'm grateful for now, although at the time I wasn't so much!), but they were and are as working class as it gets.
So why did UKIP barely register in London, if Londoners have such a problem with immigration? Why did they only do well in the white poor areas like Clacton?
31 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-29 00:14
The Japanese have been very clear that they will not be taking any migrants, they have done this by not taking any
So what is it about them you admire. You know they would never accept you as a migrant right?
32 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-29 00:36
Well if that's true about Japan then I take it back, it's just that one of my best friends emigrated to Japan and has a family there and speaks the lingo now and everything, and he hasn't had any problems. But if that is the case with Japan, then I take it back, I just saw their low crime rates and just ASSUMED (because of my friend) that they were immigration friendly, but if that isn't the case I can admit when I'm wrong.
33 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-29 02:09
Well, you don't need me, just Google it to see Japan's record on immigration.
You are correct, they do have a very low crime rate, some would say that is because of their culture and the fact they have remained a monoculture by refusing to allow outsiders to their land.
34 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-29 11:01

You won't believe me, of course, but this feeling of moral superiority and... well all that talk about "offering a better way" is a form of racism.
Their barbaric traditions are a lot more ancient than your civilization and no less complex and sophisticated. They are not going to bow to you in gratitude and accept your superior ways. You need to create environment where they can only thrive if they choose to integrate into a modern society. 'Till then they will behave according to their own codes, laws and customs.

39 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-29 22:17
I know there are good guys in America too of course, but you have massive social problems of your own, MLK said this 50 years ago of your country, much of it is still true today in 2016:
But one hundred years later <after slavery>, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
So the day Europeans start taking cultural or social advice from Americans, particularly conservatives, would be a very, very sad day indeed.

How does one go about proving satisfactorily and/or beyond reasonable doubt that these otherwise largely nameless indivduals weren't part of said incidents?
50 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 00:11
My question is hypothetical, so your point is irrelevant.
51 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 00:14
Ah but my counter question was hypothetical too!
Why not answer it hypothetically as I don't believe there are any rules or laws forbidding it.....or aren't you able?
Regardless, whilst you're trying to think of the defectively witty riposte that you're tragically not capable of at least consider this:
One can just envisage Muhammed telling the police that neither Muhammed nor Muhammed participated in any of these attacks and, his cousin Muhammed - along with Muhammed his best mate promise they didn't either....
Meanwhile Police are looking for men of "Arab" and/or "middle-eastern" appearance. That should narrow it down.
Besides, seeing as most of these 'refugees' will not have identifying documents upon their person either, conclusively identifying all or even most of these poor girl's/women's attackers will likely prove formidably difficult - in spite of arrests (of which don't automatically equate to prosecution or irrefutable guilt of course) already made.
52 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 00:21
I notice that you demand response to your "hypothetical" question, but refuse to answer mine.
How unsurprising of you.
53 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 00:31
Their action, while pretty, has nothing to do with the issue.
It's not about racism\xenophobia. It's about misconceptions. It's about not understanding that "multiculturalism" doesn't mean that all cultures are equally good. It means that all cultures are different and one has to understand those differences in order to successfully interact with representatives of other cultures.
All those immigrants from Muslim countries who are attacking locals all over Western and Northern Europe, who rob and intimidate folks, assault and rape women and children... They are not criminals - they are barbarian conquerors. And it's immaterial that some of them or even most of them are not actively participating in what we think of as crimes. They are doing it not because they believe its wrong but for other reasons based on logic of a medieval raider culture.
And before you say that you know plenty of Muslims who are productive, peaceful and what-not, sure, there are many integrated immigrants. Means nothing though. Unless the EU governments force newcomers to change their mentality you'll have more violence.
54 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 00:36
Their action, while pretty, has nothing to do with the issue.
Exactly. Handing out pretty flowers isn't going to fix any of the actual problems. The real issue is that people were assaulted and raped. All the people that were assaulted and raped were still assaulted and raped, and a rose isn't going to stop it from happening again.
55 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 00:43
Well the alternative is trying to marginalise all Muslims and push them to the edges of society. I don't know where you're from, but we certainly don't need lectures from Americans on this, as look what their record is like with handling minorities, they are in a total mess and have been for 150 years. The UK in comparison has been a utopia when it comes to multiculturalism. There is a right and wrong way of doing things, and the Americans have the blue print for the wrong way of doing things.
Any small efforts by the Germans get my applause.
56 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 01:00
I didn't say anything about any alternatives, just that the problems are still there. Handing out roses won't stop rapes and assaults. Sorry. Okay, so you won't push Muslims to the edge of society. Cool. A bunch of women still got sexually assaulted.
And BTW, these migrants were welcomed with open arms into Germany. That didn't make one damn difference.
57 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 01:04
>>56Well you bring the individuals to justice when you can, as what happens in any civilised society, you don't punish the whole group, and if these women want to put out the hand of friendship, a gesture of goodwill (and I know it is only a small gesture) then it gets my respect!
58 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 01:16
You don't punish the whole group, eh? Yet you are for punishing all gun owners. You fail. Your flowers aren't going to fix anything. These refugees were already greeted with enthusiasm and giant signs that read "Refugees welcome!" held by young women. The kind gestures have already been done and the violence and sexual assault still happened. Why don't the victims of the violence get offered some flowers? No one seems to care about them.

F8ck no. It's practically irrelevant.
The only thing these vagrants should have received from Europe
is an ultimatum to turn around or be shot dead at the border.

Another hypothetical question. If it was the migrants giving the roses, would that make any difference to your opinion of them?
61 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 02:09
Question: is this show of unity acceptable to you if the recipients of the roses were proved not to have been part of the appalling acts of New Years Eve?
and yet I'll bet you're all for gun control, despite the fact that it's only 0.01% of gun owners committing the crimes.I'm betting many times this percentage of the muslim invaders are hostile.
But that would be logical eh hypocrite? :P

Lots of assumptions there, and still not answering the question, I notice.
63 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-30 02:34
lol shut it...
You're for gun control,I've seen your anti gun retarded posts before.
No sense in denying it bubba.
another liberal dodges the issue, and I win!
It's so easy!
all I have to do is use common sense and rationality, and I burn libs every time.

It seems the mental illness known as liberalism is only festering and intensifying over time.
I can't tell you how hilarious it is to watch these leftist loons claim, how intellectual and civilized they are.all while they continue to push such ridiculous lunacy

Is is quite obviously a civilizational achievement when most people are able to recognize that when someone from a different tribe, an Other, a recent arrival, committs crimes that other members of the Other aren't guilty by association.
The Germans yet again show they have, as a society, achieved a civilizational plane higher than most other world societies.

>>65One can only expect proportionate criminal elements to manifest within any group of people of course, yet coordinated multi-city, multi-country attacks perpetrated by groups of overwhelmingly the same status and religious denomination against indigenous citizens suggests a far more potent and bespoke problem in this particular instance that transcends dismissive 'well there's a few bad 'uns everywhere' type attitudes like yours.

This is probably more accurate.

These people are idiots. Talk about sending mixed messages.
Firstly, what a slap in the face to all those girls that were attacked.
Secondly, from the migrants perspective they don't want a stupid rose. I doubt they particularly care about xenophobia. All they want is some food and a bed.

Inspired by some of the disigenous cack on here emanating from the intellectually unburdened Left, clarity on this emotive issue is evidently required at such a timely juncture:
Espousing legitimate concern for certain large groups of mostly low/no skilled migrants originating from some of the most violent regions of the world (of which a significant portion have behaved exactly how everyone who's moderately cynical predicted they would since getting into Europe) is not remotely equatable to advocating one's health services, industries et al stripped entirely of everyone vaguely foreign looking and deported forthwith....
It's tad disigenous to conflate patently legitmate concerns about the current spiralling migrant crisis with every single immigrant that's set foot in one's country, ever.
I'd like to say 'no sh^t Sherlock' to the above but based on personal experience this was sadly an assumption too far. No matter how low my expectations of certain people are, they are still evidently too high.

Something's off. I've a hard time believing this is true.
If it is true, then I've an even harder time believing it.
