I wonder if the right wing hatred of Muslims or the right wing hatred of transsexuals will take precedence here. See, for me, it's easy. Since I treat them as individuals, I am opposed to the actions of these three teenagers. But in the minds of some on the right, who believe that all Muslims are psycho terrorists and all transsexuals are bathroom-peeping perverts, how will they respond?

LOL -- so then why not let the countries they come from take care of their criminal behavior and the expenses of their prison upkeep?

Because if somebody commits a crime in a country, it is that country's duty to see that their law is enforced. We can't compel the legal systems of other countries to do what we want. We could deport them, but our ability to punish their crime would end as soon as they hit the borders of their native country.

Unfortunately this type of prejudice is not exclusive to Germany, or men of North African decent.

I can't help but think that many of the commenters on the Daily Mail article would be happy to express such bigotry to trans people and are just outraged at this incident to support their racist views.
