I am from the south, and in my area there are still people that feel mixing is wrong. They feel whites were intended to be with whites and blacks with blacks, etc. But of course we are gonna see mixed couples, as they do exist. I just saw a white guy with a black woman a little while ago.

Has anyone noticed that there is a different attitude toward a white man dating a black woman than there is a black man dating a white woman? It seems like if white people (I am a white male) see a white guy and a black female dating they are more okay with it than a black male with a white woman. Why is this?

I know I have friends that HATE seeing "their" women with black men. Some say its disgusting and only "sluts" want black men. I mentioned to one of them that they have been with a black woman and his response was "its not the same".

I also know people that raise their sons in a way that they can date any girl they want (they prefer white girls but they will accept others) while raising their daughters to only be with a white man.

Why do you think this is?
