Social Justice Warriors to blame for Freddie Gray mistrial

These cops never should have been charged with murder. Involuntary manslaughter at best.

Partly, it also is hard to nail down the responsible party.
I would have just charged the officer in charge.

I don't know all the details but Porter was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter(among other things). Based on what I have read the case against him wasn't as strong as some of the other cases might be.
And we weren't in the courtroom. In this case Porter has said he asked the driver to go to the hospital. maybe some in the jury believed him.

that is what this cop was charged with
you know that they all didn't have the same charges, didn't you?
Porter was charged with I think 4 or 6 things, involuntary manslaughter being one of them

Hey dingus, the cop whose trial just got declared a mistrial was not charged with murder. What gives with your salient political analysis?
6 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 21:58
Thats not the point. The point is, only the cop in charge on the scene should have been charged, and not with murder.
7 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:03
That's not the point?! Then maybe you shouldn't have said it was the point, you stupid fuck.
8 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:05
I pointed that out to him as well
he was charged with involuntary manslaughter. The sad part is that to those in Baltimore all cops charged are the same

These cops never should have been charged with murder. Involuntary manslaughter at best.
Uh...Officer Porter was charged with involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office.
Do you even know what the hell you are talking about????
10 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:30
That's not the point. The point that this shouldn't have been pursued as a racist conspiracy....
11 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:33
that is not what you said in your OP so maybe the problem here is that you didn't make your point clearly
I agree that it is ridiculous that so many want to view this totally through a racial prism and the truth is we really don't know exactly what happened. To some the fact that they didn't strap the guy in made someone guilty. Cops testified that they rarely do(which doesn't surprise me). and I'm guessing that few who are arrested are upset that they aren't bucked in
I think Mosby overplayed her hand and charged people wanting to satisfy the mob. The problem is that in a case like this the charges wouldn't be so cut and dry.

>>11Agreed.
I am curious about details of the hung jury. I wonder if somebody was predisposed to a verdict despite the evidence?
13 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:43
I am kind of curious as well. it was a hung Jury on all counts. like I said before, I'm not an expert on the Freddie Gray stuff and haven't paid attention to the trial(until today). Most who are outraged probably haven't paid any attention to anything other than the protests.
I will say that Mosby has made comments like the arrest was invalid saing that the knife was legal based on the law and I've read many source(mainstream) that kind of cast doubt on that. To me it shows Mosby was scrambling to satisfy the protesters. A
If we look at the timeline William Porter wasn't even involved in the arrest. he came after the driver asked for assistance. He helped Gray up from the floor to the seat and his crime basically is that he didn't buckle Gray in.
The entire case against some is that they didn't buckle Gray in. I think that that is a little thin for assault or involuntary manslaughter charges(IMO)

I wonder if he was trained/instructed to buckle them in?
15 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:49
>>14Yes, he was. It was (and is) the policy of the BPD to buckle in prisoners being transferred because of the serious injuries that had occurred in the past.
16 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:51
and cops testified that they rarely, if ever did buckle people in
I'm not saying that that is alright but do you really think that porter would be guilty of involuntary manslaughter for it?
17 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-16 22:54
Based on testimony in the case it is quite common to have prisoners in the back who aren't buckled in. I'm not saying that that is a good thing. I'm guessing that procedure would require someone have their seat belts fastened though if that is somethign that was rarely done Porter could argue that he did what he was taught to do. cops testified that peopl were rarely, if ever strapped in(which I'm sure is something that more times than not the people being transported didn't mind, though I could be wrong).
The state tried Porter first because they want to use his testimony against the driver(goodson) and he could plead the fifth if he still was awaiting trial.
it seems as if Goodson would bear the most responsibility though I'm not sure how they could even fathom getting a 2nd degree murder charge to stick.

The only question remains... How far will dingus try to move the goal posts?
That's not the point... Dow is down 1,000 pts! Sky if falling
The Dow is up 224
Yeah, only because the social justice warriors charged this guy with murder!
Dingus is priceless. That almost rhymes like 'Someone blew Beaumonts brains out"

You are one of my favorite posters. I love pointing out your many mistakes. Though I am thinking I will have to expand soon. It's getting to be too much work.
