Cosby's countersuit against accusers is an act of misogyny.

Preach it, sister!

What Cosby did was stupid, it's also stupid to try to sue him for it 30 years later.

They had to wait for the statute of limitations to expire so they could file civil suits without also pressing criminal charges.

Rape shouldn't have a statute of limitations. That alone is misogyny.

I don't think that it does now (in many states), but back then it did.

Ok yes, you raped me in 1985...but I'm just getting around to accusing you of it now.

So? What's your point? Because it happened 30 years ago that means a crime wasn't committed?

There are PLENTY of reasons why a woman wouldn't go to the police. To rattle off a few:

No one would believe me anyway
He's too powerful a man and I didn't want my career ruined
My memory of the rape was repressed
I didn't want to get him in trouble
It was my fault
I must have done something, like leading him on, to deserve it

Some apply to Cosby, others don't. But don't for a second think that just because the raped didn't call the police and/or go to a hospital that means it never happened.

Good luck trying to prove rape after 30 days. This was 30 years ago. Memories fade, and evidence gets destroyed as soon as a woman showers.

"Stupid" makes it sound like a boneheaded accident on his part; is that really the worst word you can use to describe his actions (assuming of course that he actually did what he's accused of)?

Yes, it's stupid (amongst other things) to drug someone without their knowledge.
11 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-17 02:18
Then perhaps you should focus on those other things, as using the term "stupid" absolves a person of some of the responsibility for their choices. Stupidity is generally an accident and cannot be helped; Cosby knew full well what he was doing. Assuming he actually did it, of course.

Sadly, Cosby probably can't remember any of it today.

LOL

So protecting yourself from claims or rape when it may just be a vengeful witchunt for a bunch of scorned women looking to get even decades later when the prosecutors found no evidence to push forward their cases is misogny? And people wonder why men are so careful with the women they associate with nowadays....

let's be honest, all this is being done as part of a legal strategy and some might call it deperate

[let's be honest, all this is being done as part of a legal strategy]

Exactly. It's just a defense: punch/counter-punch.

Did you take drugs that day miss?

Yes.

How can you remember a darn thing?

Um, I can't, but its still rape!!!!!!!!

Too late

His legacy is ruined. He waited to long to do something about it.

I'm guessing he feels reasonably sure that these 7 consented and are just trying to ride the gravy train otherwise he would have sued all 50 for defamation.

He's trying to fight the battle he thinks he can win.

Too bad he didn't portray himself (outwardly) as a bad boy rock star type. Then no one would care about his "groupies'" claims....

they are not suing him for rape they are suing him for defamation , when they said they we're raped , he /lawyer said they lied , him calling them a liar was the grounds for the defamation , oddly he didn't sue them even as his doctorates were being removed , his name of of buildings were being removed nor did he say that all those women were liars , he and or his lawyer selectedly said some were lying

You just want a Kardashian style fight. Maybe he should have took to Twitter immediately. He's fighting after his ducks are in a row. It doesn't need to air on Oprah or Ellen.

It's very obvious that one of us is right and the other one is you.
22 Name: Anonymous : 2015-12-17 20:12
It's absurd. He's so close to someone finally getting a criminal charge on him, this is just gonna fuel that fire. He doesn't need money anyway, this is almost as stupid as drugging and raping dozens of women.

I'm not buying into either side, Gloria Allred's or Bill Cosby's, but everything about the allegations against Cosby is because of Gloria Allred, the attorney behind everything from Tiger Woods, Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Dodi Fayed (she sued him on behalf of the chick he dumped for Princess Di) to the Boy Scouts (she sued over the word "boy"), OJ Simpson, Aaron Spelling and on and on and on, thousands of lawsuits.

I had linked people to her wiki page before, but it has been decimated recently, with nearly every mention of the frivolous and baseless lawsuits she's filed or even criticism removed. Even then, there's still plenty to chew on:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloria_Allred

All I'm saying is that regardless of his guilt or innocence, it's only fair to consider the source of the allegations and her past, too.
