Why should they fear something they sign up to? Islam teaches what is described in the article - it's in the Koran. Muslim women know this.

Of course that is the case for many, there is also a flip side though. I have a Muslim friend. It was arranged for her to marry her first cousin when she was 8yrs old. She went off to Pakistan at 18 to marry this older cousin (about 30). He came to the UK with her and she had an unhappy abusive marriage. She wanted to seperate and was coming under huge pressure from her family to put up and shut up as her sisiter, mother etc had done before her.

The person who supported her and got her out was the imam from her mosque. He spoke to the family and explained that what they were doing was unislamic and that it was their duty (and Islamic) to support her to leave and start afresh.

She would tell me that when she actually got round to reading and studying the Koran - she realised her norms and expectations were cultural. For her it was studying Islam that set her free from her cultural background. Now she is remarried, has trained and set up her own business.

Only I don't recall the Jews of Europe doing even a fraction of what Muslim Europeans do..... You know, rape, organised paedophilia, drug dealing etc, not to mention terrorism.
