We have had two large shootings in the span of just over a week in the US. One by a white Christian. A second by a Muslim. While I have found the response of liberals and democrats to be quite consistent (a large outcry for increased gun control to prevent further occurences). The response of cons and repubs on this board have been quite inconsistent.

For the attack on Planned Parenthood, the common theme among cons' threads were an expression of sympathy for the victims, that it was tragic, the shooter was a nut and it happened because he was mentally ill.

For this week's attack at a Xmas party, while the expressions of sympathy and tragedy continue, they have shifted the focus from illness to religious and political motivations and are quick to focus and highlight the fact that the shooter is a Muslim and the "Islamic Terrorist" chants have already begun.

PLEASE try to be consistent!
