Do think it's right for transgender people to...
1 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 08:22
have a sexual relationship with someone without letting the other person know that they are transgender?
Sorry for the controversial topic, shipmates. I was just thinking about this and wondered what others thought of this situation.
I have nothing against transgender people, but I do think it is wrong if they enter into a sexual relationship with someone without being upfront about it from the off. The only reason they would not be open from the beginning is because they're afraid of being rejected if they were to be honest. So they would essentially rather trick someone into bed, than be honest and possibly lose that person. To me that is wrong on so many levels.
What are your thoughts on this, shipmates?

If it was a transgender refugee/immigrant you be the first one screaming racist, you make me sick you faggot!

I don't know about transgender, but I love putting my hand down a stripper's pants and finding a pair of large, sweaty, hairy balls, the shock and surprise is a real turn-on for me.

I think it's one of the most disgustingly immoral things a person could ever do.

i wouldn't say i hate them
i don't mind gay people because they don't have a choice
but choosing to change your gender is just wrong and not telling their lover is awful

Thats a bit much, bruh.

I totally admire someone who has gone down this road, it must be so frightening and they are incredibly brave, I'm a big fan of radio star Stephanie Hirst who used to be Simon Hirst - transgender people MUST inform anyone they decide to have a relationship with and be totally honest.

I think a Transgender person should let their partner know ASAP, ESPECIALLY if said transgender hasn't changed the equipment.
18 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 15:36
Ofcourse. It's one of those things that they should talk about on the first date itself "I love seafood. I'm allergic to cats. I used to have a weiner etc "
Ever watched the crying games?

I sense sarcasm, shipmate. Would you not be upset if you have had sex with someone who you later found out was transgender? If they were open about it the other person can make his or her own decision. By not being open it would take away the other person's chance to make a choice with all the relative information. I'm not saying that they should announce it the minute they meet, but they definitely should before they actually have sexual intercourse.
20 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 15:57
Albert, I think they should say it as soon as they think there might be a chance of taking it further. I'm not saying the second they meet but definitely later on during the conversation. Better say it sooner than give some poor guy false hopes.

Head side of that coin - I feel for people in that situation. Dating is hard enough as it is without having to be in that situation.
Tail side - I still have rights as someone who wouldn't want to end up in a relationship like that. If I have sex with someone by tricking them into thinking I'm someone I'm not, I could be charged. I understand that malice isn't a part if it, but a person has to right to define gender traditionally and seek romance accordingly. I support their journey, but that journey should involve honesty. I would not respond very well if I made such a discovery in someone I was with. It would have nothing to do with hate or any kind of phobia. It would be about the respect I demand as an individual. It's about disclosure of relevant facts.

I would have been too young to see it, but if you're British then you may be familiar with the documentary/reality series There's Something About Miriam (2004), which I believe confronts this very issue.

Now I'm curious.
27 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 17:07
I assume you're speaking of transsexuals opposed to transgenders? As people who have actually gone through the sex reassignment process and so on?
There are a couple of issues to this matter, really... As you say, being afraid of rejection is one thing. Another thing is that, say, a trans woman hasn't gone through the whole process just to be seen as a woman that used to be a man, the desire is entirely to be seen and recognized as a woman. By admitting constantly to the sex she was born with, she'll be always judged according to what she was before and not what she is now. Yet on the other hand, the surprise discovery can be offputting for many, and can even lead to very violent outcomes. More so than any other phobia against any other minority, society at large is still having a lot of trouble to come to terms with transsexuality and hiding it from absolute strangers in such situations can be very, very dangerous.
The same can apply to transgenders if you actually mean people who have not yet crossed the border into trying to physically be of the opposite sex and are cross-dressing and the likes. Yet there are also several people that are transgendered and yet haven't done anything about the matter because of being fearful in taking that step. I know many people who ultimately did not go along with the process because either they were in fear of being rejected by loved ones, or in fear of coming out looking like a man in drag, or both. In their cases the matter of knowing or not knowing if they are transgendered is moot because it would not really change the course of things.
If it's a more serious relationship then I believe one ought to be open and honest about everything from the get-go, as it should happen in every relationship, because sooner or later the other half will find out. But I feel that's not the kind of relationship you were asking for anyhow.

Yes, this is what I was talking about.
29 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 17:38
Hardly controversial, just pathetic.
30 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 17:51
What is pathetic?
31 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 18:02
I'm very accepting of transgenders, they don't bother me a bit and I'm glad they're being themselves, but if they start a romantic relationship with someone, they absolutely HAVE to tell them. I think it should be a law to be honest. It could be extremely traumatic for the other person.
I have nothing against transgender people, but I do think it is wrong if they enter into a sexual relationship with someone without being upfront about it from the off. The only reason they would not be open from the beginning is because they're afraid of being rejected if they were to be honest. Hell yeah. You said it, shipmate.
32 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 18:23
Nope. If you're attracted to a gender bender or duped by one then it's your own fault.
33 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 18:43
It could happen to you, shipmate. Maybe it's happening right now.
34 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 19:03
Always check under the hood, shipmate. You must have learned this when you were in the Orient?
35 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 19:18
I'm talking post op.
36 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 19:24
There's ways to tell. For instance if she throws a fastball over 90mph or is good at DIY.
37 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 19:40
I suppose you could ask her to parallel park, just to be sure.
38 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 19:55
Now you're thinking, Uncle. Better safe than sorry.
39 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 20:05
I think that would be terrible thing to do. Unless you were in a trans gender club. Then you get what you get.
You could always do the Crocodile Dundee approach.
40 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 20:15
I'm presuming in this hypothetical scenario the other person is blind? Possibly deaf too? It shouldn't really matter then, presuming they are post-op.
41 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 20:20
You do realize many transgenger people sound and look so much like a female that many people can't tell, right?
Many even have convincing natural breasts from hormones.
42 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 20:26
Show me some.
43 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 20:32
Many Spanish transgenders look very convincing.
Just look at Xhamster under shemales and you will find a handful of pretty convincing ones.
Take into account that some natural females aren't all that girly looking.

In Australia, it's considered rape if a man lies to a woman about his income. Coincidentally, if a woman lies to a man about her age, the man is still the one who goes to jail, this time for statutory rape. Do you think maybe it should be illegal to wear makeup, because that's a misrepresentation of how you actually look?
48 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:07

I have not checked the Crimes Act lately, but I'm pretty sure that's not correct. There are only a select number of (mis)representations that will invalidate consent, e.g. identity.
49 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:14
ok if true(which is doubt strongly- what are we saying- its ok for gold diggers to go about there business.
50 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:21
I don't think it's right. I don't even think that's left.
51 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:28
They must but personally, I wouldn't (if I looked like 100% woman not like a man in drag like a lot of transsexuals are). I have no idea how to delicately say this thing.
52 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:36
No.
It's dishonest.
Though any man would know once they had sex. They are also setting themselves up to be hurt.
Like I said though, most people would find out before any real damage could be done I think.
53 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:44
some of the ops these days are pretty dam convening.
i suppose we are talking about post op. and good looking ones.
54 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 21:49
Like I said, most men would be able to tell once the panties came off and definitely once the sex started.
Talking post op obviously.
55 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 22:00
If it's just a one night stand, it doesn't matter.
If they're actually entering into a relationship, it should be known.
56 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 22:10
I disagree, a one night stand would matter to most people. Tricking someone like that is not on.
57 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 22:15
What's the trick here?
58 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 22:20
They are tricking someone into thinking they are having sex with someone of the opposite gender, when really they are having sex with someone of the same gender.
59 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 22:26
It's not like having an STD or something, having sex with a trans person isn't gonna cause you any harm. The non-trans person in this situation would never know anyway, as it was a one night stand.
60 Name: Uncle Albert Gladstone Trotter : 2015-11-08 22:31
They would be taking away the other person's right to chose if it's what they want to do or not, knowing that if they were honest the other person may not be interested.
61 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 22:46
If you wanted to have sex with that person before you knew, then you've already made that choice. Most people want to have sex with the person they view not the person they know.
They're taking nothing from you but your wasted seed upon or inside their flesh.
62 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 22:50
Probably not, but is this something that happens a lot? I don't personally understand why other straight guys get upset about a gay pretty-boy going down on them, so I REALLY don't understand why it would be a big deal if the guy looked convincingly like a girl or if they were post-op and had breasts and female genitalia. Sometimes what you don't know really won't hurt you. . .
63 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 22:55
I think everyone should be honest in all aspects of relationships. I don't see why any one particular group of people should be singled out in this respect.
64 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 23:00
In that case Uncle, to prevent disappointment, I ought to tell you that I am a woman trapped in a woman's body.
65 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-08 23:13
CONTROVERSIAL.
ITS SOMETHING I BELIEVE NEEDS TO BE told. but i will put it down to shear honestly over just the act of sex with the same birth sex. and it could i suppose traumatise some. as a shipmate i feel you wouldn't have an issue. and i think i banged one by mistake- its not like they tell you blue lights are for trans is it. so many have been done by it. did it bother me. nah - i am not 100% and even if i was life's to short to worry about something that is trivial to me as i am not a religious fellow. just one with a story.
the problem is as you know Unc- some are fiecking sexy as hell- some are drag queens. the difference is huge.
but i agree with you . and i believe it could have a detrimentel affect on people that are not religious and ones that are even more..
fieck it - try anything once - bar bestiality...

If they're going to get married or something like that then ya. Otherwise I say ignorance is bliss.
67 Name: Anonymous : 2015-11-09 11:34
Gay guy here. Don't blame us for this tranny bullshit. Most of the gay guys I know hate them being in our movements. Sexuality =/= gender, but they want to steal our hard earned political capital for their movements that have nothing to do with us.
