I was baring that in mind when I wrote that, however it is irrelevant. Notice how I said "in his language". That means that his language, whatever it is, is a real American language. I don't know much about Native Americans other than knowing the names of several tribes and knowing that there are loads of different languages, however as far as I'm concerned each different Native American language, being a Native American language, is an American language. They each have their own individual names, but in general terms they are each a Native American language/an American language.

It is unfortunate for you that for whatever reason you choose to make accusations or apply labels to complete strangers based on inaccurate assumptions.

You're not really that dim, are you? America is a name given to two continents bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west & the Atlantic Ocean to the east. These two continents were colonized by settlers speaking the European languages of French, Spanish, Portuguese and English. Other languages came over with the waves of European settlers but most of the nations formed by those settlers settled on one of those 4 European languages. There are more Spanish speakers in North and South America than English speakers.

So saying "speak American" is saying "Speak Spanish".

American is used instead of English in case people think you mean British English.
