Is there something in the air in US going on we need to know

1 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-01 16:12
The ongoing handful of targeted assasinations of law enforcement and the recent on-air shooting of a news crew* seem eerily like the early 1970's in America all over again.

Is there something brewing here, or is it just a series of random isolated incidents?

If there is something going on here we should stay on top of the matter. Ahead of the curve if at all possible.

Power to the People.

We've got to get it together sooner or later, because the revolution's here and you know it's right. And you know that it's right. We have got to get it together. We have got to get it together now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8zmkzshUvE

Seriously though, this may be that whole Helter Skelter business Manson was trying to kickstart in 1969.

Interesting!

I think the short answer is, "obviously."

What is the long answer?

Just what do we need to know?

Is Chelsea Clinton on the verge of becoming the next Patty Hearst?

You probably won't get to elect the next president without a major terrorist act pushing you the direction the petrodollar boys' & girls' club want you to go. Or you may just have race riots in Washington DC "demanding" Obama sign up for the 3rd term.

Why would African-Americans in DC start a revolution on behalf of a half white dude raised by his Kansas born mother & grandmother? Culturally he's probably more whitebread American than you are. You racist nitwits can't see past his skin to recognize the core Fargo-ness of Obama. He's like third cousin to Brad Pitt of Iowa. That's the world he grew up in.

Idiot.

I put the quotes in there for a reason, learn basic English. In this scenario Obama administration itself declares it's too unsafe to have elections. He is no wanted to stay by the demonstrators.

What happened in the early '70s that you refer to?

*Activities of the Weather Underground

*Various bank robberies and murders by militant/radical political groups

*SLA/Patty Hearst saga

*Newscaster Christine Chubbuck shoots herself live on TV

(Plus, the Black Panthers stuff but most of their violent acts were in the 1960's.)

Thanks. I'll read up on those subjects.

My guess is that rich people figured out a way to game the system. It is supposed to be:

Economy:
Company $ -> Government (in taxes) -> People -> Companies, etc.

But, now it's:

People's Money -> Companies -> Government -> Companies (in bailouts and tax breaks.)

So money is unable to return to the people and instead the people pay twice for companies.

My feeling is that the general emotion of the people is that the government is extremely corrupt and controlled by the companies.

I heard the "Black LIves Matter" people held a Pep Rally yesterday in which they were cheering the recent assassination of that Houston police officer.

I personally don't mind their celebration, but why the heck would you film such a thing for "middle America" to see. The backlash can't possibly be worth it.

Yes absolutely. Americans jump to conclusions, are unable to look past their differences, hate that which is different, can't do any form of independent research, and in general are lazy, over-patriotic, gun-wielding, power-hungry, god-fearing lunatics. We are basically what is wrong with the human race summed up in one ass-backwards culture.

If you feel that way, might I suggest moving to a more progressive part of the country? (Berkeley, San Fran, Cambridge MA, Upper Manhattan, etc.)

The United States is very diverse, you know.

There's actually a lot more chaos going on in Europe right now than there is in the US. For example, the migrant crisis, increasing Islamic terrorism, the meteoric rise of the far-right across the continent, the collapsing EU, and so forth. And, as Europe gets more "culturally enriched" with Islamic immigrants, we're going to see a lot more mass shootings happen there too. Case-in-point: France.

The French people are not nearly as "cultured, tolerant, and liberal" as many Americans believe . . .
18 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-02 02:28
They're tolerant of their fellow native born French. Much like a Mississippi redneck is tolerant of his fellow Mississippi rednecks.

Well said, Comrade Anon.

Well said.

You do know redneck is a hate filled pejorative used by pathetic dirt stupid bigots, right? Anyone who uses that term would drop the N word constantly when with fellow bigots.
