not always, but when they are its because they singlehandedly are responsible for WWII and altho not really responsible for starting WWI they were a huge part of why it became a world war... these are a few reasons at least, Id still rather hang out with them than the French tho

wasn't it the British that made WWI into a global war? If I can remember correctly the Germans wanted to attack France through Belgium, which at the time was an ally of Britain. If Britain would've been like "you know what fuck it" The war would've been over in a couple of months and it would only be continental.

What's the point of making alliances with foreign powers when you are going to abandon them when they need you the most?

The Germans are considered the bad guys because a lot of people believe the lies told by the victors and "victims" of world war 2.

Yes, Britain declared war on Germany in WW1. They did so because they feared Europe dominated by a single power and also felt that France/Russia were in a better position to help safeguard their colonial empire. As such they came to France's aid even though they were not attacked by Germany at the onset of war.

Nobody expected a global war with that kind of casualty count. Everybody was expecting the war to be over in a few months. Humanity was not prepared for the reality of modern warfare.

All of the countries also expected it to be over in less than a year because none of them could afford it to be honest.

It didn't help that it took 3 years for each side to develop counters to the trenches that prevented large scale breakthroughs.

The history. Just like every other country..
We learn how bad hitler was. We learn how he killed 6 millions. We just think about it different. You learn this part of germany and think "wow germans are fucked up".. We learn from history. Next time will be better.

Do you really want me to take out my 8th grade US history text book, and compare it to one of the newer copies. I have done it before, they don't teach the same shit I learned.

Germany went from starving, country-wide Detriot-like conditions during the end of the Weimar era, to launching V-2 rockets into space. As acclaimed Jewish film director Stanley Kubrick once quipped: "Hitler was right about almost every thing."
