White people have rarely ever had their ethnicity called into question the way other immigrants have.

They've never had to worry about losing their ethnicity the way others have, and they never needed to teach their children why, despite the bullying and prejudice at school, that they need to be proud of where they came from and who their people are.

White people have the most watered down heritage appreciation more than anyone else. It's because they don't have that same level of respect or reverence towards their own familial or genetic history that they say without shame "I'm so Irish I shit potatos and only drink Guiness!"

They don't have years of hardship tempering their respect for their heritage.
