Super Mario Odessey Nintendo Switch.

What did you think of that trailer? I'm surprised no one here made a thread on this yet...
Looks amazing to me! It seems to be very open like SM64 but with the massive creativity of SMG.
Not a big fan of Mario in a "real world" setting (New Donk City) but it appears to be just one of many worlds/levels.
Can't wait!

What the fuck was the bullshit city? It looked like the Sonic Adventure city shit on the Dreamcast. Some of the other stuff did look fun though I guess, but the city level looks terrible and completely out of place.

Yeah, I agree. A city world in the design of the type of city atmosphere we see in the Mario Kart series would've been fantastic... But that was too weirdly realistic. I imagine they're going for a fish out of water surrealism feel, but still. I'm guessing the theme of the game is Mario going into new dimensions or something, some realistic, some extremely bizarre.
The city is still just one level though, and the rest looks superb.

Yeah since he popped out of the sewer grate and there were realistic humans there it might be an inter-dimensional mindfuck type thing.

Super Mario Odyssey looks just another masterpiece in the same league of Super Mari 64 and the Super Mario galaxy games!
The city is just one level and looks amazing.

I'm excited, but it's Mario. I'd be hyped if it was coming to the Virtual Boy.

So this is another game in the same vein as 64, Sunshine and Galaxy? If so consider me hyped, I was going to get the Switch for Breath of the Wild alone but this is icing on the cake. If only a new Metroid could be announced as well...

Dat intro... weird as shit.
Game looks pretty good, though. Other than tuxedo Bowser, it brought some nice memories from Super Mario Galaxy.

Mario looks really jarring in a non-fantasy world. They should have redesigned him to look like Captain Lou Albano.

It looks like the best full on, proper Mario game in years. It appears to be a back to basics 3D Mario game more in the vein of Mario64 than, say, Super Mario Sunshine and that's a good thing in my opinion.

I haven't played it but I know everyone is going to play it at some point and that's my summation of Mario whatever
