There's not nearly enough Switch hype on this board for my liking...

So what are your thoughts on these rumors? Any you want to be true? Have you heard any I missed? Any you flat out calling BS on?

-The next Assassin's Creed will launch same day on PS4, XBoxOne and Switch.

-GameCube games are finally coming to the Virtual Console.

-A Virtual Reality component will be launched relatively shortly after the console release...possibly before 2017.

-RE7 is in development for Switch, both standard and VR.

-Switch will have voice chat and wireless headphone capabilities.

That's all I can think of right now...

The GameCube rumor has honestly got me most excited. It'd be cool if any of the rest are true too, especially VR, but I'm not creaming my pants at the idea of them... Anyone remember the Wii U VR rumors...? Anyway...

I'd guess all, except for maybe the VR rumors, will be either confirmed or disspelled on the Jan. 12 Nintendo Direct... Can't wait!

Hope the rumours about Gamecube and Wii U compatibility are true. Would be a huge incentive.

I don't see how the Wii U compatibility one could be true though... Well, I guess through linking accounts and digital downloads... But that seems really unlikely, especially with clips of Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon, both with new features, in the launch trailer...but it'd be cool if this were true.

I'm interested to know more.

So far though everything we know is re-releases in one guise or another - and that gets me the opposite of excited.

I'm guessing some info on that new 3D Mario teased in the Switch trailer with a post launch date release. The only other things I'd be surprised not to see are Mario Kart 8.5 and Splatoon 1.5 (possibly part 2).

I'd like to see a full sequel to Splatoon with either an expanded single player or a stand alone single player game. Together they were a solid package, and as fun as they were both could have been a bit beefier... Also Pikmin 4 and Metroid. F-Zero would be cool too...

I'm not too fussed about third party support personally, but it would be a good idea for Nintendo to be fussed about it... There need to be some big reveals and hopefully Breath of the Wild being Switch exclusive isn't one of them...

Hmm, after reading the details I'm not sure this means anything beyond Nintendo trying to hold onto the Tradmark...but I have to admit when I read the subject line I came a little bit...

The most optimistic I'll get about this one is thinking this could lend credance to the rumors of Nintendo including GameCube games on the VC. An HD remaster would be marginally better news. But a new Eternal Darkness game would be like a dream come true...until it releases and pales in comparison to the original, of course...

Could be hinting at the porting of Gamecube games for the Switch? Fingers crossed.
