But as a parent, I didn't let my kids play video games, not even at grandma's house. My mother refused to baby-sit for my my and my wife's weekly lunch out because she opposed that rule.

But my kids grew up mentally and physically fit. Four out of five overcame dyslexia which they would have never done if they had the option of being screen zombies. All five are either in college working a graduation plan for a job-ready degree or in the military earning the money to pay for college.

As a parent you have every right of not letting your kids play video games but I question the idea that your kids grew up mentally and physically fit because you didn't let them play video games.
