Can't say I'm entirely surprised considering how rampant piracy reportedly is on smartphones.

Not really on iOS, since you can't install from outside the App Store without jailbreaking, which most don't bother doing. I guess this is for the sake of parity for when it eventually releases on Android as well?

The 60% of "not paid" downloads on iOS include installing your purchase on more than one device, so that's not a piracy rate.

That was addressed somewhere as the other-device installs only made up an insignificant amount of the sixty percent.

He never breaks down the numbers any further, so there's no way to know whether or not the percentage is insignificant.

Exactly. The percentage of people using cell phones without service and out of proximity of WiFi is negligible. So it's not really a big deal...it's not really a good decision either though...

After watching some gameplay, Mario Run looks much more enjoyable than my initial idea of it... Not a must have and I wouldn't try to persuade someone to buy it, but it looks to retain much of the feel of the NSMB series...for better or worse.
