So the Xbox One sells 99 units in Japan last week

http://kotaku.com/last-week-microsoft-reportedly-sold-99-xbox-ones-in-ja-1754211746 Tell me again why Americans shouldn't return the favor? We're bending over backwards to buy PS4s with no good games, and they get to let their racism/patriotism fly and reject ours wholesale. I HATE this double standard. I say it's time to fight fire with fire.
What Japan is doing is a complete and open act of disrespect. Ethnocentrism at its worst. And too many people are supporting it. At least there's SOME people in Europe that can look past their anti-Americanism for some good games on Xbox One.
Jesus, I'm really at the point where I think MS should ask Donald Trump to endorse Xbox One so the issue becomes a source of contention here, and then you can really see the sparks fly. You sell it to people the right way, and you'll get sectors of America never touching the PS4 ever again.
You've nearly exhausted all options, MS. I think it's time to open the proverbial can of worms and establish Xbox One as America's console. Hell, at this point, I think sacrificing Scalebound would be worth it.

They really need to give up on Japan.
5 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-25 19:58
They don't have anything the Xbox One needs anyway. It's not worth this continued BS.

Good news guys, sales are up in Japan!

PS4: publish, fund and make games for Western audiences and Japanese audiences. Sells well in Western countries and Asian countries.
XBONE: publish fund and make games and services for American audiences. Sells well in America and poorly everywhere else.
WIIU: publish Nintendo made games for a worldwide audience, no third party games after Microsoft and Sony checkbooks opened.
It's not that hard to figure this out....

They funded a crapton of games for Japan last gen, and they still rejected them anyway. MS would literally have to relabel the Box to something Japanese to get them to touch it.
They truly believe westerners are the inferior game makers even though our games get all of the attention. It's a combination of envy and racism that's making them turn their noses up. It's sickening.

....But games like Call Of Duty and GTA sell well over there too.
They released a console with no Japanese support. It bombed.
They released a follow up console with a year and a half or so worth of Japanese support. It bombed
They released a third console with no Japanese support. It bombed.
Seems like a fairly simple reason as to why it didnt do well.

Don't worry. Once they buy out Square-Enix and Capcom and convert all of their franchises to Xbox One exclusives, the tides will turn!
Should happen any day now... any day...

I guess they need more games with loli girls that squirt ink at each other or whatever creepy sht they're into to get Xboxes off shelves.
God what a cesspool.

It is kinda interesting when 'Splatoon' beats 'Halo 5' for "best multiplayer award" in 2015.

This might sound politically incorrect, but people of Oriental descent commonly struggle with first person video games due to their epicanthic folds -- that is, the skin partially covering their inner eye that gives the distinctive slanty eyed appearance.
Studies have been performed on why East Asian gamers (especially the Japanese) dislike western games and products, and in addition to their obvious xenophobia and isolationism, they are physiologically ill-equipped to process visual information that is being rapidly presented in a (simulated) first person viewpoint.
This isn't an issue with games with "fixed" perspectives (e.g. Starcraft with its isometric top-down view, or fighting games with a side scrolling camera) since they're less immersive from a purely visual standpoint. But first-person games -- especially shooters with their twitchy controls and extremely rapid movement/camera -- are a real problem. Even third person games like Gears of War are unpopular in Asia due to simulating over-the-shoulder cameras.
Basically, our eyes are fully open and theirs aren't. (Just anatomically speaking.)

Lol, how do they even track numbers so low?

Epic weeb.

Set up and updated to the new dashboard......and it's garbage, a bit less garbage than the less but it is still incredibly unintuitive. An absolute mess that require several button presses to do simple tasks. I had to guess how to create a screen shot and send it as a message.
I've had the system for almost two years and I still can't find my way around the UI, it's fcking terrible. I struggle just to find my games and start playing and usually end up resorting to voice control to find shit.
Otherwise its a decent system. Playing Forza 6 recently. Good game. Much better than the dull as dishwater Forza 5.

Wow, my "bitterness measuring meter" just opened a panel, waved a white flag and exploded.
Face it, Xbox tried, xbox made mistakes, xbox failed. The only thing the PS4 did was capitalize on the Xbox mistakes.

It's like RT on the start page, you overexaggerating fgt.

There are good games on PS4

Japan not disrespecting ethnocentrim they just don't like Microsoft

Are you insane? that would put xbox one behind Wii U if Microsoft got Donald Trump to endorse Xbox one because Donald Trump is fricking moron and not very many people like him

Aw what wrong mad Xbox number 2 in America and worldwide
As for xbox one only selling 99 system that is pathetic

Guide button.

you know what's even more insidious? Hawaii is actually moving TOWARDS Japan at about 4 inches per year.

I've had the system for almost two years and I still can't find my way around the UI
As a person who's often blazed while navigating his Xbone, HOW is this possible? Even after my Kinect broke it took me like 5 minutes to figure out what goes where and with the new update it's even easier.
28 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 18:51
Well... can you explain it? I mean, I can sum up the PS4 UI with one sentence - one row of icons for system functions, a second row for games and Apps. But I don't even get how the XBO UI works conceptually, because everything always seems to move around and be in a different spot to get to from the "home" page.

Don't they eat up Apple products though? Pretty sure they just don't want to play Xbox One.
