Xbox One proper impressions.

Bought an Xbone and played some decent time on it now. Obviously played one before (Owned one for a couple of days too) but now I've got this one forever.

Got it with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dead Rising 3.

- Set up and updated to the new dashboard......and it's garbage, a bit less garbage than the less but it is still incredibly unintuitive. An absolute mess that require several button presses to do simple tasks. I had to guess how to create a screen shot and send it as a message.

- On PS4 the UI is simple enough to navigate and while the Xbone's UI is capable of running several things at once, the PS4 wins for me. Though I may get more used to it

- The controller is pretty great, I don't like the underside of it but the button and triggers are spot on

- Installing games is a god damn joke. Tomb Raider took a fair amount of time but I got in and played the prologue. Halfway through the prologue I was booted to the main menu and told to wait.

- The PS4 let's you play a game within a minute without stopping play.

- Dead Rising 3 was an absolute joke to install, it simultaneously downloaded the 16gb patch but deemed it worthy to install both. After a long long wait I got to play the game and the game fell completely apart like a Bethesda game. Not good

- Tomb Raider is great. It does the traditional new thing of incredible opening then the game slows the f\uck down. DR3 is fine but nothing outstanding

- With the PS4 you can see what patches are downloading and pause them and it is simple. While there may be a way with the Xbone....it isn't obvious

- As for games, they run excellently and the achievement system is as good as ever. Whoever let you put achievement pictures as your background. Backwards compatibility is also perfect. Only played The Stick of Truth but it runs perfect

Overall it's a console.......not a great one but it does it's job. I'd personally choose the PS4 over the XB1 if anyone is split. PS4 is much more manageable and it's ease of sharing pictures and videos is awesome.

Xbox's upcoming line-up is great so the purchase was worth it for me. Any recommendations would be great (Particularly games from the Store)

Seems like going from what you're used to to the other has the same effect no matter which way it is, because I find the PS4 system to be clunkier and less intuitive than the XBO's (largely due to voice commands), and downloading digital games on PS4 takes way longer than on XBO, negating the (considerable) installation time advantage the PS4 has.

Shouldn't you prefer Sony? It made by honorable peasants ruled by daimyo in glorious Nippon, much hard work, very gratitude, so sorry for the delay, please accept most humble apology, much thank for enjoy our game.

Xbox is dirty western shooting box, so arrogance, huge stink and fat, pig disgusting, oh you like space marine? oh you like kill locust horde? violent savage.

Nah Sony's just as 'Murican as it is nip, p. sure SCE North America and other Western devs make like 90% of the games people buy on it. I like Ninty tho and most of the games on my 3DS are weeb games.

Flip flop, flip flop, the weeb ran up the cock, the cock struck one, the weeb ran down, shiggety shiggety flop.

"Xbox One is the best console ever."

*One week later*

"Xbox One sucks, PS4 is the best!"

"Wii U is awesome!"

*One week later*

"Wii U sucks"

You get anything for 3DS lately? I haven't in a while but I'll probably check out the new Fire Emblem when it comes out.

No, not for a long time. I was going to get Majora's Mask but never got around to it. Might just wait for Dragon Quest 56 or w/e number it is.

Accusing someone else of flip flopping?

Well if that isn't the Frostback calling the Moosefcker Canadian.

I know you're goofing on them, but this is the Japanese games industry in a nutshell in my head. Replace all the Ls with Rs, though.
11 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 12:32
But wat about all the titty games that the PC West dun rike anymore?

Oh, so sorry. Women are onry praythings to grorious Nippon. This why birth rates very row. Prease, have game with squid girsu who shoot each other with ink!

I think the birth rates are low because Japanese men are betas. I'm the hero Japan needs.
14 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 14:27
Good luck. You'll always be vile foreign dog in their eyes, even if you're ethnic Japanese born out of the country. They're nuts.

True. I hear they barely even have a functioning society, what with all of the imperialists running around yelling "TENNO HEIKA BANZAI!" while slashing people with katanas.
16 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 15:38
The PS4 clearly is the superior console at every possible aspect.
17 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 15:44
Weeb.
18 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 18:52
Is that the most difficult thing about it? A summary?
19 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 19:14
? No I'm literally asking how it works. I must be missing something. If it's simple, you should be able to sum it up easy, like the Xbox 360 dashboard had a row of functions on the top, ie Games, Movies, Settings, and the apps for each on the screen underneath. Simple. But where is that on the XBO?

At... the... top?

Tab right to switch between Home, (Games & Apps on the console including recently played & sale items) activity feed, then the store which breaks down by section.

Looking for the social aspects of the Xbone, go left instead.

I don't see how it's considered such an inconvenience... I feel like I'm missing out on a some massive hindrance that you guys are experiencing.

That's how babies are made right there.

You know, it may just be you. Just a thought.

I'm surprised anyone can prefer the PS4's retarded UI over anything, honestly. I haven't used an Xbox One (despite being massive Xbox fanboy), but I cannot imagine how it can be worse. If it's anything like the 360, then I don't see what would be preferable from the PS4's shit.

Finding my games on Xbox One:

1. turn on console
2. hit down on the d-pad until I reach the bottom of the homescreen
3. hit A

HOLY FUCKS ALL OF MY GAMES ARE HERE!

Wanna access any of the social features?

1. Hit left from the homescreen or double tap the controller's power button from anywhere.

I really don't understand how people can struggle with it. I figured everything out within five minutes.
27 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-26 21:20
Maybe even that is too complex for the average console gamer.
28 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 10:16
Actually it's too complex for the average PC gamer, since PC gamers are dumb as hell.

And the PS4 is massively better than the Xbone.

Cry more.
29 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 11:41
If every feature of the entire console isn't visible on some extremely plain looking main screen, then everyone loses their ass.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 11:44
Yeah, but sometimes you have to access the settings and you'll have to hit the start (or "list") button.

Shit's complex.
31 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-27 11:47
Even tougher with Kinect:

1. Xbox on (the Xbox also turns on my surround sound and TV)
2. Xbox go to (any game or app)

Holy shit dude, I'm still stuck on plugging the damn thing in!
