Xbox One is actually a pretty good console

I like the system, Microsoft have really turned it around from the disaster E3 reveal and launch.

I'm really looking forward to Gears of War 4, Quantum Break and Scalebound for next year.

PS4 has me jelly with The Last Guardian and Uncharted 4 though.

I'm glad they got the backwards compatibility sorted out, I've got two 360's I want to retire (disc drive buggered on one but memory full). But yeah, solid system and I love the controller.

I'll never know, and I'm not troubled by that fact. I recently finished Until Dawn on PS4 and loved it.

Not too much interested in movie-games, though the PS4 has some killer exclusives coming up.

There's much more gameplay in it than some would have you believe. It's just very story-oriented.

Wait, I did like Fahrenheit. That was a great game, have you played it?
7 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:03
Yep, twice. I bought the "remastered" edition on Steam a while ago. For a comparison, I enjoyed Until Dawn infinitely more than Fahrenheit, although the latter was still way creepier.

It was so creepy, the beginning bathroom scene is chilling. I'm going to pick up a PS4 soon, I'll probably buy UD as well. Is it high on humor? and is the humor kinda pseudo/try hardy?

Also, I take it you're very excited for Quantic Dream's new game? :)

Bloodborne!

You probably are not good enough, however ...
10 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:11
That goes without saying.
11 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:13
:)

But seriously, it is one of the hardest games i have ever played. You really need to start on Dark Souls to learn the basics. But for fans of HP Lovecraft ... this is the best action game out right now.

There's a ton of humour in Until Dawn. The entire game, but especially the first half, is drenched in dark comedy and reference humour, such as taking jabs at horror movie clichés. Pretty much all of the characters joke around and say and do some funny stuff. I found almost all of the humour to be nature and funny, even if it's not laugh out loud funny. It's certainly refreshing after how utterly humourless and angsty all of David Cage's games are (I still mostly like 'em though).

I haven't heard anything about QD's new game, but now that you mention it I will look it up. I was a bit disappointed by Beyond: Two Souls, but I absolutely love Heavy Rain (which was actually the reason I got a PS3).

Sounds kinda like Scary Movie 1. I want it.

Kudos.

I just want to rewrite a few things for ya:

"I like this brand new system ... I'm really looking forward to when some actual games are released for it. Someday ..."

How rude, I assume you're one of the people who still call it the Xbone.
16 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:23
Why? You are the one being boned ...
17 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:25
Rude.

Aw, you're no fun anymore ...

For the record, i have no issues with Xbox One ... i chose PS4 because Bloodborne is exclusive to it and the Souls games are what interest me these days:

Demon's Souls (2009)
Dark Souls (2011)
Dark Souls II (2014)
Bloodborne (2015)

All other video games are just cut scenes to me now ...

What about Otogi?
20 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:35
Otogi is more like God of War.

If you ever played Jade Empire (2005), think that minus all the boring character exposition crap. The Souls games have story and lore, but the core is action and the strategy is how you level up.

Check out a Dark Souls speed run sometime ... you won't really understand what the hell is going on because the leveling system is somewhat complex and extremely cryptic, but the current world record is about 45 minutes.

Here is Lobos finishing the game in 1 hour https://youtu.be/ImMOdTxtf-s

And to contrast, here is 90 minutes of DSP's 1st playthru https://youtu.be/5dHz4nYCDdM (this video was compiled by someone who does not like DSP ... who does?)

I just think there aren't enough good games. Getting my Xbox One actually un-gamered me. I hardly play at all anymore.
22 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:48
This gen has had a rough start. Both consoles seem to be lacking exclusives but 2016 is the turning point.
23 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 17:59
PS4 isn't really any better, if it all.

I only bought it for Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2. My 3rd fav game for the PS4 is Minecraft!!!!

It's really a semi-dark times for good content ... PC is still winning that race.
24 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 18:28
Minecraft 2 could be an Xbox One exclusive.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 18:44
That would be ridiculous. Take one of the most popular games that is available on just about every platform available right now and narrow down a sequel to one unit? That would be a horrible idea.

You do realize that fans are making their own Open Source versions of Minecraft, yeah?

It'd be handy if they'd just call it "Xbox 4" and that way I'd know it's the thing that is up against Playstation 4.

Any console is good if it can play MGSV, which is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goood.
28 Name: Anonymous : 2015-09-07 19:27
I can play Netflix on it! That's about all I need it for.

Microsoft: That will be $50 a year to access NetFlix.
