I can't articulate the gut punch I'm feeling right now but rest in peace Iwata, your contributions helped shaped so many of the love I have for videogames.

I had just been playing both Balloon Fight on 3DS and Earthbound on Wii U all day sunday...
Jesus, why do the best people die young?

I'm sorry Iwata. I called Nintendo's E3 presentation shit.
It wasn't really that shitty.

Only videogames and TV series.
But it's getting harder to enjoy them because my anxiety, even it has always been there, lately it got "locked" in ON mode which is unbearable. I always could evade with them and some hope for the future but I'm 30 yrs old and I ran out of hope so...
I even lost my need for food. It's strange, it's like If I had taken lunch few hours ago even if in reality I haven't eaten anything for 30 or 40 hours.
And the girl I love is probably all fine (which is nice) but I wish I could be part of her life. Her shiny life...

The company has died several times. Last significant time was the N64 which lost them nearly a billion. Since they have enough money to keep them running/testing projects for decades, it's unlikely that the ship will sink any time soon. They're just going through hibernation as they have many times in the past.

So much of his work has made such a big impression on video games as a whole that as long as video games are around, he won't be forgotten. And I don't think video games are going anywhere anytime soon.
I wonder who will take his place. I doubt Miyamoto wants the spot even.

Really fucking sad right now.

19 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 05:43

No, Iwata. I'm not ready to understand.

24 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 07:59
Never really cared for nintendo since the last DKC on snes, but Iwata was a great man. He will be missed.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 08:09
Well, /games/
You finally got your wish. Iwata's finally gone.
Are you happy?
26 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 08:20
God bless you Iwata. Nintendo's always been a huge part of my life, and it's brought myself and many others an awful lot of joy. You'll be missed.

TUMBLING STATUS: DOWN
Why is this happening? Christopher Lee dies, Konami fires Kojima, John Hurt gets fucking pancreatic cancer and now Iwata's dead at 55. That's younger than my dad.
28 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 09:00
the millions of e-celeb faggots related to vidya haven't dropped dead of their diseases yet
Iwata loses to a bile infection
It's not fair.
We just fucking lost Nimoy and Lee and shit this year too
and I lost a close friend, it's not fucking fair.

31 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 09:33
Damn what the fuck? 55? RIP
He died 2 days ago as well...
You'll get your mushroom someday
32 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 09:51
>>1I know he fucked up with the Wii U, but this is a extreme response to it.
33 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 10:11
Things are gonna be alright. You don't doubt Iwata-sama, right?
34 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 10:32
serious question: what exactly did Iwata even do for Nintendo besides the regular CEO stuff? Why does anyone care?
35 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 10:52
I get that this is a shitpost, but why does Sony have such a following at this day and age?
They said themselves that they won't have first party exclusives and anything it does a PC can do better.
Whoever handled marketing at Sony did a damn good job pulling in the Xbox and Wii casuals to their console.
36 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 11:12
Damn, Pokemon Crystal was my first Pokemon game and what got me into it as a whole.
Why are all pieces of my childhood slipping away from me?
37 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 11:23
Do you finally understand /games/?
This came out of nowhere. RIP, man.
38 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 11:33
>>1Today console wars don't matter. We're all in this together, bros.
No Nintendofags.
No Sonyfags.
No Microsoftfags.
No PCfags.
We're all just gamers now.

Do you think he knew it was coming? Do you think he knew how sad we would be for him? Do you think he knew how sorry I would be for the things I said about him?
40 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 11:54
He died of bile duct growth, a very rare form of cancer
He continued working at Nintendo, knowing full well that his end was near. He most likely knew that this E3 was his last E3 ever.
All he wanted to was to bring smiles
The last time he addressed to the Nintendo fans, it was to apologize about the Nintendo E3
41 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 12:37
To quote Iwata in his 2005 GDC Keynote:
" On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer."
R.I.P

Has he ever considered shaving his fucking ugly obnoxious, eyebrows.
43 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 13:33
before today Iwata was almost never spoken of in a positive way on /games/
is generally regarded as one of the reasons Nintendo has been making so many mistakes lately
suddenly he dies and everyone breaks down
You faggots are just as bad as the people who were recording themselves crying when Robin Williams died. If you're gonna slander and hate someone, don't hop on the bandwagon when you hear that he's died, poser faggots.
44 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 13:58
>>7>>16He's the reason we were able to enjoy many games in our childhoods, he was the code monkey behind lots of them until he went up in the ranks. You fuck off.
45 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 14:18
He died working while suffering a painful cancer, went to that shareholders meeting recently full of retards, working non stop 20 hours a day to meet deadlines.
A true Japanese man.
46 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 14:59
>>35That said, I hope his friends and family find peace. RIP Iwata. Thanks for the games and trying not to give in to mobile game bullshit.
47 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 15:39
I've never played any Mother games before. But I think it's time. Should I just play them in order, or does anyone recommend otherwise?
48 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-13 17:01
Hope all that complained about nintendo's E3 feel bad. He died because of you fuckers
49 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-14 01:14
So are we getting a Nintendo Treehouse Live for the funeral this week or not?
50 Name: Anonymous : 2015-07-14 10:03
>>49Only if Nintendo do a Nintendo Direct with Iwata's death announced.
