2000 Points on Nintendo £14
1000 Point for N64 game on Wii ($7)
£8.99 for Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64 (Nintendo 64 VC) on Wii U
Upgade price to Wii U version £1.79
So when did Nintendo put the price of Nintendo 64 game up for Wii u users? did Nintendo not work out buying the game on Wii Shop and paying the upgrade fee is still cheaper than buying the game Wii U eShop by 20p.
Somehow this doesn't seem right.

Donkey Kong 64 is on the Wii U? I thought the Rare games would never come to the Wii consoles because of Rare being tied to microsoft.
Anyway, I guess that kind of sucks about the pricing.

I think the problem is with the original Donkey Kong game being included, since Ikegami Tsushinki sued Nintendo over the code used in the arcade version, which is why Nintendo has never released any of it's arcade games on home consoles.
To summarize, the original arcade game was written by a company named Ikegami Tsushinki on assignment, but the contract did not include ownership rights to the code. When Donkey Kong became a hit, Nintendo tried to make more boards themselves, and got sued for copyright violation as a result. A detailed report is available here.
