majora's mask was the scariest zelda game of all time. I hate being under a time constraint its so fkn stressful. I like ocarina of time cuz you can take ur time but i hate it when you have to do the timed missions like chasing dampe and stuff. dude im so scared

Dunno, it has some good evidence, might just be coincidence though. I believe it.

Interested in the theory. Fill me in?

Zelda started about 30 years ago. It is very possible there is an underlying story developers use in the background to progress the series. So why wouldn't it be possible that there's an end to link?!

Who knows... maybe there will soon be the last iteration of the series where they actually reveal the comprehensive story of zelda.

It's been 28 years fags... it's possible.

In the game you play in 5 major places, everyone has a problem to solve, the order they have to be play matches with how death acceptance works

I want to honestly ask, since I have watched a few of game theory's videos...
How can any theory even be remotely true? Most of them that I've seen are so ridiculously in depth that the developers and/or writers would never even think to make it true.
As interesting as some theories are, they are almost always going to be false from the first second they get too in depth....
But I haven't seen them all so can you explain the details?
Does this theory go too in depth?

there are a lot of "coincidences" in this one to be that

Correlation does not equal causality

The highest probability is that the "four stages of acceptance" (which are pretty bullshit in their own way) and the stages you go through as Link in Majora's Mask are both rooted in some part of human psychology that goes much further and broader than death.

I don't think there is "too in depth" in matpats videos (the rest i don't like so i don't watch).

When you come o think about it, the writers have a story to tell. Originality in these terms is hard to imbue in your writing cause there is no story that hasn't been told.

So it would make sense, these writers actually tell a very common story skinned with a different colour.

I mean no one would pay (let alone praise) your ability to tell a catching, emotional (or generally all the things that make a good) story, if it had the depth of "Cliford the big red dog".

So yeah... When imagination can't bring anything more to the table, use something from real life and build around it.

Yeah that's true and I can definitely appreciate the quality of the theory and the entertainment value, but I hate when people take the videos as factual.
They still are interesting to watch from what I've seen, as long as there are few asspulls

Realistically? No way. Nintendo simply wouldn't do something like that, not on purpose.

But, here's an interesting tidbit from literary theory. Reading a text (including the story of a video game) is a conversation between the reader and the author in which both have equal say. Any interpretation of a text which can be adequately backed up is a legitimate interpretation. So, do YOU think it was about Link dying?

Video game, and cartoon theories are just fucking annoying, more often than not they're about the same shit, Either the main character is in a coma, or they've been dead the whole time.

Really, just take a moment to apply the "been dead all along" or the "coma" theory to any random show of video game you can think of, now start making up a bucnh of super edgy "DEEEP" meanings to the random shit that happens to the main character and BAM you have a 2spookyedgelord4me theory.

The only times theories are even remotely interesting is when they can avoid using the coma and death tropes, an example would be the theory that all Pixar movies are connected by the references to each other in the movies, you can almost make a realistic time line on where each movie fits into a greater story, THAT is an interesting theory.

Very good point anon I like you

I would say he is dead and I like approaching the game with that angle it makes the game feel more dark and somber
