You know what I really want right now? A new game in my favorite dead genre, monster breeding/raising. Preferably on the PC.

I'd love something like Tamagotchi where there's a focus on raising them and caring for them at home, but then you can take them out and explore and adventure and battle other monsters like in Monster Rancher.

It was one of my favorite genres really. I mean, of course I liked Pokemon, but I also liked Jade Cocoon, Monster Rancher, Azure Dreams, Jewel Summoner: Monster Kingdom, Guardians's Crusade, the Dragon Quest Monster games, and technically I count the Shin Megami Tensei games in this genre as well.

I also of course like stuff like Viva Pinata, but it's not really what I'm looking for.

Any suggestions? Preferably not something I'll have to emulate, since I probably already know about those and can download emulators if I want, but I'll never be able to play those games with someone else. I'll never get to interact and see other people's monsters.

Forgive me for being picky, but at the same time, I don't want something made in flash or that's a facebook game, and since I want to play this on the PC I don't want an android or ios game.
