When starfox 64 was launched my dad bought my brother and I the system and starfox as a Christmas present. But, he hid it so well that he never found it in time to wrap it. So he went out of bought another one. About a week ago he was going to throw out some old boxes full of random junk and there was the old starfox game still wrapped cellophane with the price sticker and everything. What should I do with it?

You can either sell it for a couple hundred bucks or just play it. Depends on whether you value more about owning a CIB/sealed copy of an N64 game or a few hundred dollars more.

a sealed starfox 64 would probably go for a couple of hundred bucks on ebay. But i think you should throw it in the garbage.

We all love /games/ here, but in the end it is just a video game. Unless it was literally the last thing OP's dad ever got him there's nothing to really be sentimental about. Sell it and make bank, OP. Or start collecting.

Unless you love Star Fox 64, in which case hold onto that shit and play it until the the cartridge turns yellow.

I don't agree so much with this. I mean, my father still alive, and gave me a few games in my life (Die Hard arcade, LoZ and Sonic 1 - games I already had at time- and King Salmon lol), and as we are from a poor family, I know how much he was thinking on me to give it. But maybe I'm being too sentimental, and OP didn't care so much about the games, I don't know.

Your dad went through the effort of buying it twice for you, right? I'd return the favor by selling it and buying him something really nice, or you could keep it to remember him by. Either one is good. I just wouldn't sell it and use the money on yourself, it wouldn't be wrong persay but I'd feel icky doing that.

I would sell it, just because I don't have any desire to own a sealed game, I would open it and destroy the value, but keep the box and paperwork.

you can buy a loose star fox if you even wanna play the game again easily.

i think you should keep it, it has a little cool story behind it and the box is badass
