When shopping at Giant Eagle grocery store we saw these pizza's buy one get one free.
http://i.imgur.com/ufp0d8q.jpgWell worth the money. So good we will probably buy more at the regular price when the ones we got are gone. But if you like your pizzas with thick crust these are not for you.
They remind us of these which are very good also.

It is simply AMAZING how far they have come with the quality of frozen pizzas !!!
For those of us who are old enough (I'm 57) to remember the early, BAD OLD DAYS of frozen pizzas, when most of them tasted about as good as a piece of cardboard with ketchup, something resembling cheese, and hunks of some kind of meat-like product embedded into them, the fact that many, if not most frozen pizzas today are unbelievably good, is something that a lot of us (as with many of our food choices here in America) now simply take for granted.
And don't get me started on how much better pizzas got with the advent of self-rising crusts, and other crust-related improvements in the last decade, or so......
Food tech, indeed !!!

I remember in the 80's, certain brands of frozen pizza had crust that must've been made by the same suppliers of Pop Tarts'.

The two BEST brands for frozen grocery store pizza ARE...Screamin' Sicilian and Home Run Inn. The rest all SUCK and ARE GARBAGE. Although I do sometimes still buy Tombstone and a few others which can't compare nor compete with the first two.

I disagree, there's a lot of good frozen pizza companies out there. Palermo makes a dang fine pie. One of our house brand pizzas has a spinach Alfredo that's really good. Digiorno and freschetta are decent. If Gino's could replicate the sausage patty I would buy one a week.

DiGiorno's is pretty good- I like their thin crusts. I've tried some other frozens but the good ones are all about the same and the bad ones...

I like Freschetta's sauce stuffed crust. At least I did. I haven't seen one in years and unsure if it's vegan all but the cheese. It was my favorite frozen pizza ever.
I disliked the microwave ones. They never do well even will the little silver cardboard.

Today's frozen pizza companies do a pretty good job putting out very tasty pies. Given the huge amount of competitors, they have to to stay afloat. Anyway, I usually get whatever's on sale (BOGO's usually) and do my normal amount of doctorin'.

You should try either or both Screamin' Sicilian and/or Home Run Inn pizza. The two BEST frozen grocery-store pizza brands. NO NEED for any others.

I've tried both. Screaming' Sicilian is all right. Home Run Inn and their "uncured pepperoni" pizza wasn't good.
Newman's Own Pizza is good. As are certain types of California Pizza Kitchen brand pizza.

I usually buy 'Jack's' frozen pizzas, especially when they're on dollar sale. They're not too bad, and I can throw a half-eaten one away without feeling guilty about the cost.

The only frozen pizza I will eat is Home Run Inn...

I have never tried a frozen pizza that was halfway edible, but it's mostly because of the sauce more than the crust. Pretty much horrid sauce on every one of them.
I don't have pizza that often so when i do, i can just freeze the leftovers.
My store had Boboli crust on sale at one point. It's not the greatest crust but it's okay enough. I bought two and made two pizzas. Baked one. Wrapped the other one up really well and froze it. It wasn't bad when i finally made that one.
