Did you ever read it? What are your opinions of it? Is it even legal? How many things on it are legit?

General discussion

/bijou/ would reject this immediately, so this is the second best place.

I've read it, think it's technically legal but they still use it against people in court if they find it on your pc. I can't say how well it works, haven't tried to make a bomb with it. A lot of it is fairly outdated, it describes methods old school hackers would use working with phone signals and such iirc

a third of it is useless/doesnt work or need very specif stuff
a third is kinda stupid/funny
and the last third is good (allegidly)

although i dare u find anyone who has the knowledge to fact check the stuff in it.

The version on the net was all mangualed with additions from pointless sources

some of it's dangerous (most of the bomb shit), some of it is not so bad.

when you're 13 and the internet is a new thing (one does not simply google how to make a bomb) this was the fucking shit

there's a lot of info about phone phreaking which was pretty outdated by the time I got to it and also pretty irrelevant considering I wasn't in the US

but this legit taught me how to make gunpowder.. which I manged to do by stealing the chemicals from my highschool chemistry lab

along with a smoke bomb made from salt petre (potassium nitrate) and sugar

aw man you felt like such a fucking boss reading through this shit.. it really did open my eyes to a whole other world

Got the book 4 years ago
not illegal to keep one in my country
It's a good conversation starter
But it's outdated , also most of the methods related to firearms.
Still gives a good info about poison making , homemade silencers and how to use your body as a weapon.
Overall I dig this book.

A lot of it is bullshit. I've been looking for a 1971 Lyle Stuart first edition in decent shape for a decent price for years.

You can also read "Steal This Book" free online.

The most important thing to learn from that though, is that even when they're trying to be socially conscious and active, Baby Boomers are self-centered, self-important, deluded faggots.

Its legal to own, but illegal to reproduce a lot of the stuff in it. Its ridiculous and wicked easy to kill yourself following it. Yes I've read it. We have one at work. We also have a PMJB. Testaments to how stupid people can be. Dealing with explosives, poisons, and dangerous chemicals based off untrained experience, a book, or a couple youtube video's is extremely dumb.

Yes maybe you'll get something right once or twice. But eventually you'll end up like the kids in Austin did. Or worse, you'll kill someone, or cause permanent catastrophic damage to someone, that you care about. It happens all the time. You are NOT good enough, just by asking the question about it, and wanting to use that as a resource, I say again you are absolutely NOT good enough to be safe.

there are 2 versions, original is rare as unicorn cum and is full of gorilla war tactics, the other version is like someone heard about the original and without having a clue about anything tried to right their own, mainly consists of how to make sparkler "bombs"

You know you can find that at your local library right? Shit, there was a copy in my HS library. Are you a fucking child? Also, smoking banana peels doesn't get you high. Nor does nutmeg. Now fuck off.

Yes, I've read it, and yes, it's legal in the US *for now*. Can't speak for what liberal voters in this country will do next: I'm guessing a gold old-fashioned book burning is coming soon and prison for anyone who speaks out against Der Obama and his ilk.

Yeah the only thing i ever made was the smoke bombs. Was going through an edgy fight club phase so doing that made me feel good

I have a copy that I got in the early '90. I personally like the quotes in the book.

It's an antique full of half-jokes (smoking peanut shells to get high) and legit directions on bomb making which you can now discover on Wikipedia.

As a reference for its time, yeah, it's a nice little artifact. Don't pretend it's some sort of holy text.
