It is practically, honest-to-God, almost superhuman. Writers have spent much longer than that to try and write something approaching the greatness of Absalom, Absalom! let alone finish and publish 4 earth-shattering classics like that in a mere 7 years. Jesus. This isn't even mentioning his other fantastic and underrated books written later, like Go Down Moses. The only other writer this astonishing in prolificness and quality is Shakespeare.
